My lips always get dry no matter what the season is; so I always have a lip balm or a chapstick on me to prevent my lips from flaking or getting chapped. Who doesn't love an easier way to apply eyeshadow? Take it from me, I am always in a rush traveling from point A to point B, soI love time-savers, especially when it comes to makeup. Any product that makes applying makeup a cinch in a short amount of time catches my attention; and by default I love Styli-Style products which is why I was excited to try the Styli-Style Shadow 24 because I am always looking for innovative makeup products, especially eye shadows or eye makeup that's designed to make life a lot easier!

It is described as a cream-to-powder formula that comes in a pen-like wand and has a soft, velvety sponge-tip for easy application that lasts 24 hours. The eye shadow color itself is located inside the actual cap of the wand, you just twist with the cap each time, and you have finely milled powder on the sponge tip. I tried out the “Sand” color, since I figured it would make a great highlighter on the brow bone. The color was great I just didn't really like this particular product from Styli-Style, I personally thought it was hard to apply with, and it didn't last 24 hours on me like it claims and I even have dry eyelids. Also because the sponge is pointed and tiny, it's hard to get color all over your eyelid and seems like the way it was designed is similar to that of an eyeliner where you have a pointed tip to work with. However it is easy to apply in general as the powder itself is pretty pigmented and finely milled for best results.

However, I do think this is perfect for lining your eyes if you are looking for a pop of color on your eyes to make your peepers stand out; especially on the lower lash line since it gives you perfect control and precision and the sponged tip part allows you to smudge the color in for a more smoky look. It's also in a nice pen-like packaging which makes it easy to just travel with or carry with you in your purse for touch-ups throughout the day, and is mess free since the powder is located deep inside the cap. These pencils come in a wide range of colors to suit everyone's style and are available for only $8 each, if you planning on nabbing one of these definitely check out the other Styli-Style products to compliment your look as their eyeliner and lip pencils are awesome!

Sinful Colors Single Eyeshadow

I love Sinful Colors' products, they are very affordable and pigmented from what I have noticed. I first fell in love with their eye-catching and vibrant nail polish colors, so when I saw that they had other products under their belt on CherryCulture.com I was very eager to try them. First thing I wanted to have the opportunity to try was their eye shadows because I am always on the look out for new makeup brands, new shades, and of course for a good bargain that won't hurt the wallet.

At first glance, I noticed the elegant yet simple and sleek looking packaging; all black with a screw on see-thru top to easily see the eye shadow color which is great because it gave me easier access to these soft, finely-milled eye shadows for a much easier application. It's also round in shape so it takes up less space and makes it a lot easier to take along with you anywhere.

However the color payoff on their eye shadows are not as vibrant in comparison to the color you see in the pot. They have pigmentation but you just have to pack it on a little bit more than others to get your desired color or effect. But these eye shadows are pretty good and they come in a wide range of colors as well. I also think that the Sinful Colors eye shadows are ideal overall some of the other single eye shadows out there, as these may appeal to everyone in general since some of these eye shadows are matte, or have subtle shimmer; as opposed to other eye shadows that are a bit too kiddie for some as they contain too much shimmer, glitter, or pearl. In which of course may not be work appropriate for some, with these eye shadows there is something for everyone.

The best part about Sinful Colors is that you have a one stop shop of cosmetics to choose from, you can get brushes, nail polishes, lipgloss, lipstick, and eye shadows all at once because they have a lot of variety when it comes to their cosmetics - and the possibilities are endless! This palette is good for those of you who are make-up fanatics trying to save a few bucks. For those of you who are new to makeup, this is great for starters. These eyeshadows also makes great gifts. The eyeshadow palette gives you more for your money, not to mention that the packaging is absolutely adorable with its see-thru casing. It's also very light-weight so it's easy to take along and it has a light fragrance, almost like a floral perfume- no strong or overpowering smell here.

So if you are looking for a small eye shadow palette to just have in your purse or makeup bag, or just as a nice addition to a gift, then these are ideal. NYX Black Label Lipstick

I love lipsticks and lipglosses and my makeup collection consists more of both more than eyeshadows or blushes. My favorite? NYX lipsticks! I have always been an avid fan of their “Round Lipsticks” (my favorites colors in the Round Lipstick Series are “Rea”, “Thalia”, and “Pandora”), so I was really excited to give their “Black Label” series a try. I chose “Dusty Rose” which a gorgeous medium pink, essentially a rose pink, which gives a nice natural subtle color on the lips, perfect to wear anywhere with any outfit.

The casing of the black label lipsticks are a bit bigger and thicker than the NYX round lipsticks, but it's every bit of “high class” and decadence at an unbelievable price of $7. The lipstick itself comes on velvety smooth and creamy, and with just the right amount of pigmentation in just a few swipes. What I love about the NYX Black Label lipstick, is that it isn't dry nor does it make your lips dry. It is very moisturizing and there is no odd smell or odd taste with this lipstick, unlike other lipsticks I have tried. And if you already have tried the NYX round lipsticks and loved them (I know I did!), then you are definitely in for a treat! You will love the NYX Black Label lipsticks and you will not be disappointed because you get so many great things in one tube: great price, quality lipstick with great pigmentation, and it's moisturizing; not to mention how many colors there is to choose from.

They have a good amount of colors to choose from and the bottom base of the lipstick is clear so you can see what color it is from the outside, making it easy to choose your color of choice. It's really refreshing that NYX constantly expands their line, adding more eye shadows, premium brushes, lipglosses, and of course lipsticks. They have come up with so many variations, formulas, and different colors that for sure you will find one to tickle your fancy or to even match every outfit!

Styli-Style Flat Pencils

Everyone loves an easy to use eyeliner that just glides on smoothly and doesn't tug. I personally like the Styli-Style 'Line & Seal' so I was sure that I would love the Styli-Style Flat Pencils! The one thing that bothers me about normal eyeliners (rounded tip liners), is simply that- their rounded tip. It doesn't cover a lot of surface area nor does it allow you to create a thick, even line without having to apply a few layers of eyeliner just to get the desired look, then only leave you with a smudgy mess at the end of the day, giving you major raccoon eyes!

With the Styli-Style Flat eyeliner pencils, it really changes the way we look at eyeliners in general; its flat tip makes it easier to hold giving you an amazing grip, as well as giving you an even line of pigmented color making it the ideal eyeliner to line both the upper and lower lash line. It's honestly virtually fool proof in the sense that even if you don't know how to apply eyeliner, it will be a cinch when using any of the Styli-Style Flat Eyeliners.

I had the opportunity to try one of these Styli-Style Flat Pencils (in the color “Venice”) which is a such a gorgeous turquoise color that can make any eye color pop and it's the perfect color for the summer! What's great about these pencils is that they are multi-purpose, meaning you can use the thin side to line your eyes and lips, and the thicker side for eyeshadow or lipstick application. It's also hypo-allergenic and 100% waterproof which is a major plus for me considering that I look for makeup that can withstand and last in this sweltering California heat and surpass sweat and/or tears.

Since it's a flat pencil, this means that you cannot sharpen it using just any sharpener, you need to purchase the Styli-Style pencil sharpeners especially made for the flat pencils.

Amuse 98-Eyeshadow Kit

I had another opportunity to try another Amuse palette, this time it was the Amuse 96 piece eyeshadow palette. I like this palette better than the Amuse Diamond Palette because it's a lot smaller in size, and has more eye shadows that are right up my alley. It has two trays on the top that fold out, and those trays are full of powdered eye shadows that are really-pigmented. When you pull out the trays it reveals another set of eye shadows (96 total) that are similar to those shimmer powdered eye shadows that are in the Amuse Diamond Palette; they too are depicted by a cute flower print on them.

The Amuse 96 piece eye shadow is nice with its fold out trays and the different color eye shadows that it comes with. However, I found the palette itself hard to open (unless mine was just defective) but I had to pry mine with a screw driver to open it. It also doesn't have a mirror but has see-thru bubble windows on the lid of the palette so you can see some of the colors inside. The palette is a bit heavy, but not overly heavy, just heavier than some of their other palettes. They also have a slight, but soft fragrance to them just like Amuse's other palettes.

It's $20 and is definitely a cool palette to have because it has a wide range of eye shadow colors to play with, the eye shadows on the top trays are the most pigmented in my opinion and they go on nice and smooth. They are really vibrant in color and you can create countless looks with them. The eye shadows on the bottom are a bit more shimmery, almost metallic, and again these are the ones that have the flower print on them so you can distinguish which ones are which. I also like how this palette has a different set of the powdered eye shadows (the top trays) because it gives you more variety to work with and I actually like those eye shadows better than the shimmery ones hidden under the fold out trays. They also come with two eye shadow applicators to apply these yummy eye shadows with and it's also good for traveling; unlike the Amuse Diamond Eye Shadow palette that was too big to carry around; however this palette of course is a lot thicker than the Amuse Diamond Palette which was a lot thinner.

L.A. Colors Mystic Fountation

I recently had the good fortune to try a new foundation from a line I was not familiar with. The line? L.A. Colors, a division of Beauty 21, who create makeup “to target the diverse beauty needs of women of every demographic at an affordable price.” The foundation? Mystic Foundation, which claims “natural looking coverage and a creamy formula that evens out skin tone and improves skin texture.”

I have long been a fan of cream foundations. Unlike liquid foundations that tend to be tricky to apply, difficult to blend and can rub off after a few short hours of wear, cream foundations tend to solve those challenges and still give a nice, natural finish, usually with better coverage.

You will be pleased to know that my experience with L.A. Colors Mystic Foundation was a fantastic one! It has a smooth, creamy and dense consistency--I liken it to Becca's stick foundation, but with a creamier texture and less ‘drag'. However, unlike many stick or cream-style foundations, Mystic Foundation does not turn powdery and it does not get cakey, a big plus, especially if you set your makeup with a dusting of powder, which I definitely do.

Mystic Foundation offers superior blendability. I rubbed the stick across my forehead, cheeks, chin and then rubbed a little extra around my eyes and nose (the areas where I tend to need a more coverage), blended quickly with my foundation brush and I was, in essence, done. A few blemishes were still barely visible, so I grabbed my concealer brush and found that Mystic Foundation covered them quickly, completely and still looked very natural.

The coverage is medium to medium-to-full, and easily blended. I found the finished look especially natural if a foundation brush is used (I know, I know…enough with the ‘natural' already!). It totally gave my skin a smooth tone and texture; my husband even said that my face looked especially healthy and clear (wow!). Also, coverage can be built up, so in effect, Mystic Foundation may be used effectively both as foundation and as concealer.

The color and pigmentation is superior (the color I am using is called Nude—my skin tone is fair with some freckles and red spots). With nine shades available to match almost all skin tones, you are sure to find one that will give you "perfect skin", too.

Another HUGE plus: Wear is superb. Example? After one hour of rigorous tennis and marathon shopping trip, I found that Mystic Foundation still looked perfectly fresh and even.

One note for those who are fragrance conscious: Mystic Foundation contains fragrance but not so much so to be overpowering; in fact, I found the fragrance quite nice; it's soft and minimal (reminiscent of baby powder mixed with almond).

Overall, L.A. Colors Mystic Foundation is one of the best foundations I've used. And at $4, it is a complete steal!

Eyeko Fat Balm

I love lip balms and virtually every chapstick that can moisturize and soften my lips (and doesn't have a funky smell or taste). Especially around this time of the year, my lips take a beating and become so dry and chapped, at times to the point where the soft skin on my lips start to flake and can be so painful. Usually I opt for chapstick rather than lipstick because I am all about comfort and would rather work on getting my lips conditioned rather than having lipstick on that would further dry my lips.

I had the opportunity to try Eyeko's Minty Fat Lip Balm in “Minty”, and let me tell you how much I love this cute thing! I have always like big fat lip balms because they cover so much more lip area to ensure you get every little spot! The packaging was beyond adorable, it's about 3 inches tall, perfect to take anywhere, it's baby pink with cute designs on it, and has a cap that stays on. I can't tell you how many times my lip balms and other chapsticks get ruined because eventually their caps get loose and don't stay on the stick or the chapstick itself breaking off the stick for becoming too soft or too small, causing them to be more prone to breakage. With Eyeko's Minty Fat Balm, there's so much product- a fat stick of balm- that makes it so sturdy and worth every penny. You never feel like you may be applying too much pressure for it to break. It's also in a convenient twist-up tube.

This lip balm itself is very moisturizing, doesn't have a funky smell or taste at all, it smells and tastes like a nice vanilla mint, and I LOVE the cool tingly feeling it gives you on your lips that tells you it's doing its job! It really stays on your lips so you don't have to re-apply often and I have noticed such a tremendous difference. I have been using it for about a week now and I love how soft and supple my lips feel after using this. The color of the lip balm is a nice sheen baby pink, giving your lips a nice sheer clear pink tint.

There are two other yummy fruit flavors to tickle your fancy: Strawberry and Rapberry, each has their own unique flavor and sheer color. The price however may be a little steep for some, $13 each; which may be pricey for just a lip balm/chapstick, but they give you a lot of product that'll last awhile, and it's really unlike any other lip balm I've tried in which others have had a weird nasty wax feeling. This lip balm has a nice soft natural feeling to your lips I think you'll like!

L.A. Girl Mega Pearl Single Eyeshadow

One of my favorite affordable makeup brands is L.A. Girl. They have a ton of products for the face, eyes, and lips at such an affordable price. The best part? The pigmentation and quality put into each and every product. I love L.A. Girl's lip palettes because they are so creamy and pigmented and they come in a variety of colors that I immediately knew that their mega pearl single eye shadows would be just as good!

I had an opportunity to try these eye shadows and they definitely do not disappoint! They go on so smoothly and they have a nice shimmer to them, like a pearl shimmer finish, no chunky glitter- which makes it perfect for anyone to wear for any occasion (although some shades may have the appearance of glitter or more shimmer). They are also very pigmented and at only three bucks a pop! It applies so smoothly and evenly and accentuates the eyes with its vibrant colors, that you are sure to find one that suits your personality or your outfit for the day. Although most of the colors are on the bold side, there aren't too many neutral colors, but they are still awesome eye shadows to have. However, the eyeshadow doesn't stay on long so its best to use a eyeshadow primer before application to make it last longer as well as keeping the eye shadows vibrant.

There are 24 gorgeous shades that'll make it hard for you to just choose a few! I tried on two of the 24 shades: appletini and kamikaze (a green apple color and a medium blue color). I love appletini it reminds me of a sour apple color that goes great with purple or blue eye shadows; and is a nice solid version of a mineral eyeshadow I once had, so it was nice to have it in solid form to make it less messy and easier to travel with. They each come in their own individual pots with a clear, see-thru flip top lid which is very easy to open and makes it easy to identify each color. It's also flat and fairly small so it doesn't take up a lot of space and its easy to store.

Overall, I love these eye shadows from L.A. Girl, they are definitely “more bang for the buck” and gives you great color payoff at a pretty good price since. These eye shadows are really affordable, and there's so many colors to choose from.

NYX Round Lip Glosses

First of all I like NYX Products, and secondly, I love lip glosses in general. I first fell in love with NYX's Mega Lip glosses (the square-tubed ones) because they were pigmented and came in a variety of colors. So it was no surprise how excited I was when the new NYX Round lip glosses came out with it's new sleek packaging and angled doe foot wand that contour the natural shape of your lips for easy application.

I first tried NYX round lip gloss in “Doll Pink” because I loved the NYX Mega-Rich lip gloss in “Barbie Pink” so I was excited and eager to try doll pink which was just GORGEOUS on! In the tube it doesn't look like it would be a dazzling color, but once you put it on, it makes you say “WOW!”, it's the perfect pink to me, not too soft and not too bright. I also love the new packaging because it takes up less space as the NYX Mega-Rich lip glosses and the color you see in the tube is the color you get.

The smell and taste of these lip glosses are similar to that of dish washing soap; like a lemon-citrus scent- not horrible or intolerable, just a different scent from other lip glosses. I love how pigmented these lip glosses are, literally one application gives you enough color and because of the angled doe foot design, you don't experience a lot of streaking like you do with other lip glosses. They are also very soft and creamy and not at all sticky, and because of this they don't stay on too long, but make a nice overlay color over lipsticks or even by itself.

My favorites are: Doll Pink, Ballerina Pink, Whipped, and Cafe Latte. I ended up liking “Doll Pink” a lot so I ordered more colors! And they are only $2 each so it makes it really affordable to try a few or even all of them, and pretty much the price you pay for a high-end lipstick is how much you can spend to get all the colors. The swatches online of course don't do the actual colors justice, but they are all pretty colors and for $2 a pop, you don't feel so bad if it didn't work out as oppose to paying $20+ on a high-end lipstick! I must say that these new NYX Round Lip Glosses are a great addition to the mega-rich lip glosses, definitely a lot more revamped and modern and suitable for anyone.

There are days where I like bringing a few eye shadows in my purse for touch-ups when I am on the go, after the gym, or for a dinner party after work where I don't have time to do my makeup and look fresh. Sometimes it's hard to bring certain makeup items in your purse like eye shadows because it often gets crushed or lost, and also carrying all your brushes and eye shadows can get heavy. But with the Starry Diary Eyeshadow Compact, all that hassle and worry is out the window with this one stop shop of eye shadows!

The Starry Diary Compact has a wide variety of 36 sultry and silky powder eye shadows, that you are sure to find colors that suit every outfit. It also has two double-ended sponge tipped eyeshadow applicators making this compact ideal for travel in your purse. And don't let the picture on the website fool you as it looks super large on the website, but it's actually pretty small, smaller than the size of a checkbook. The compact itself has a magnetic closure to keep the eye shadows safe and prevent any mess when traveling; and it also has a mirror inside the compact making it really easy for taking along with you and for super easy touch ups.

Some of the eye shadows however I found were a bit too sheer for my taste. I had to give a few swipes of my finger or the sponge-tipped applicator on some of the eye shadows just to get the color to show up on my eyelids, and they sort of look “washed out” at the end of the day, but this can be avoided if an eyeshadow base or a primer is used, which can perhaps also add vibrancy and more color on the eyelids. Also the pots are tiny, but a little goes a long way with the Starry Diary Compact!

Overall, I found this compact to be very cute and handy. It has a wide variety of colors for an everyday look anyone can pull off which is perfect for in the office and at school, or fun and sassy bright colors for a night out with the gals all in one convenient, easy to use compact! It's definitely nice to have around and makes a perfect gift for gals of all ages.

Princessa Lipstick

I am not much of a lipstick kind of a gal...mainly because most lipsticks have a weird or overpowering taste, and I have just always loved lipgloss and the subtle color it gives. To be honest, I don't have high expectations for lipsticks because I usually find myself being disappointed with them, either the color is off, or its the perfect color but it's too creamy or has a weird taste or smell, but I had the opportunity to try the Princessa lipstick in “Dazzling Pearl” and I was really impressed! When I first received it, I quickly noticed the tubing, it was very compact and cased in a sleek black tube. I liked how the bottom of the lipstick is clear so that you can easily see the color. All the princessa lipsticks are very well pigmented with just a touch of super fine shimmer/glitter, not chunky glitter to where you might look like you are from outerspace, but a nice subtle shimmer which you can sport for any look, anywhere.

I was really happy with the color I received, “Dazzling Pearl” is a the perfect nude color, a light nude brown, with a hint of sparkle. It's just absolutely gorgeous on the lips for any complexion in my opinion, and I think it's perfectly paired with a smokey eye look. If it seems to “wash you out”, you can always use a taupe or brown lip liner to give it more depth and add some lipgloss for voluptuous lipss. Also, the taste or smell of this lipsticksis very subdued and not overpowering like other lipsticks, and it has a nice pleasant scent, very tolerable compared to other lipsticks I have tried. I honestly loved this lipstick so much that I ordered all the other colors too! My other favorites are “Dazzling Ginger” and “Sparkling Coral”. My mom was here for the holidays, and I gave her a couple of the other colors I ordered since she loved how it looked and she too loves the colors.

I am just so obsessed with these lipsticks right now and all the gorgeous colors Princessa has, and mostly because of the amazing price! At $1.99 a piece it definitely beats a lot of other lipsticks including both drugstore brands and high end brand lipsticks. I have tried everything from Revlon to Nars, and this is definitely up to par and right up my alley. Now that I found a great lipstick, I am definitely sticking to it and I now can say I am “lipstick kind of a gal”!

When its “Girls Night Out” with your friends or a weekend getaway to Vegas, I always like to add a little sparkle to my look. I am an avid fan of NYX cosmetics in general and I have a love for nifty palettes, so you can imagine when I couldn't wait to get my hands on the NYX Glitter Cream Palette!

It comes in 5 creamy, delicious shades, fully packed with glitter and sponged-tip applicators. You can use it practically anywhere your little heart desires! Eyes, lips, face, or body. I am not much of a glitter person, but I DO enjoy glitter eyeliners to make the eyes pop and look more festive. What I liked about these palettes were the gel/creamy consistency it has to it because it really allows the glitter to adhere and last a long time. I also found it easy to apply since it just glides on, however you may have to reapply several times to get an even line of glitter across your lashline. My first stroke and I had glitter in random spots, I had to continuously apply it straight across the lashline in a “dab and swipe” motion to get the effect I wanted. The only thing I didn't like (as with all glitters) is that it takes me forever to get every bit of glitter off, and because its cream the more it held on, but then again that's a good sign your look will last the whole night.

I also used it on my cheeks and body for a little sparkle for a night out on the town and I liked how it wasn't overly glittery and I could control the amount of glitter I wanted. Now with the holiday season around the corner, I think the silver and gold cream glitter would be a perfect addition to any holiday look. Another way I can think of to use this is to place a bit of it on a spoolie and apply it to the tips of your eyelashes for an eye opening sparkly look; or perhaps at the end corner of your eyelid for a glam look.

Overall, I love the choices of colors you get in just one palette, not to mention the other palettes with different colors. It's great for anytime you want a little sparkle to your look, with all the colors available, I am pretty sure you can even match it to your outfit!

Wild n Crazy Eyeshadow

It's hard sometimes to find a really good eyeshadow that has great color-payoff at a great price. I love well-pigmented eyeshadows (who doesn't right?!); the ones that give you so much color in just one swipe of your finger, brush, or sponge applicator. I often get frustrated when I try new brands of eyeshadow from the affordable drug-store brands to even high end ones, only to waste money because their pigmentation and wear was of poor quality. But I had the opportunity to try “Wild N Crazy” eyeshadow in “Maya Dream” which is a gorgeous soft, medium, sparkly blue; and at first I thought it would be one of those cheap eyeshadows with poor color-payoff, the ones that you have to swipe a hundred times just to get some sort of color to show up on your finger. But that wasn't the case with this little pot of gold!

The eyeshadow was actually very smooth and almost seemed a bit creamy, like a finely-milled creamy powder. I found it very easy to apply the eyeshadow to my eyelids and it was also very easy to blend it in with other colors, it also stayed on pretty long, longer than I expected it would! I was very happy with the color I got, it wasn't a bright outrageous blue, but a nice soft blue that really made my eyes pop. It was also a great shade to do a “smoky eye look”. The packaging is very cute, it's a screw top cap and pot and I found that this kind of packaging makes it a lot easier to get in there and get more color. I also like how the lid was clear and see-thru so you can see the color through the lid. Another thing I noticed was how much eyeshadow you get! Talk about more bang for the buck! There's definitely a lot of product to last you a long time.

Another thing I loved about it was the price! It was so affordable compared to other eyeshadows that don't even do the job, that you can pretty much own every color they have!

The only cons about this product I had was that I wish they had more colors! They only have fourteen colors, which isn't much of a wide selection of colors, but there is enough variety in the color batch to pull of pretty much any look. I plan on trying these eyeshadows in Sakurako (a baby pink) and Lily Song (a matte white). I definitely recommend that you try at least one of these awesome eyeshadows!

Messy Smokey Eyes for fall

This fall there are so many cool makeup trends it's hard to decide which one to go for. Thank god you can change your makeup when the mood strikes. One of my favorites of this season is the new "messy smokey eye". This is a cool way to take the classic smokey eye and make it more modern and edgy. Plus, it's a whole lot easier to do since the object is to make it look imperfect. This look should take about 5 minutes to achieve. Remember to go as edgy as you want on the eyes and keep the lips and cheeks soft and simple with peachy beigey colors.

I love using this Sugar Zip Kit in Ginger for this, it has everything you need to achieve this ultra hip look.

Here's what I do:

1) Apply the light pink shadow all over the lower half of the lids. Make sure to blend it in very well. This is a great base for the rest of the shadows.

2) Apply the light gray shadow on top of the pink shadow. Blend that in with your finger.

3) Next, take the skinny pointy part of the shadow applicator and apply the dark steel shadow to upper and lower lash lines. This should be a bit imperfect or "messy". Blend this with your finger.

4) Curl your lashes and then apply 2 coats of jet black mascara to top lashes and one coat to bottom lashes. Lashes can be a bit clumpy for a messy effect.

5) For a dazzling finishing touch, apply light pink shadow to inner corners.

Apply the sparkling peach gloss to your lips and you'll look like you just stepped off the runways!

NYX Concealer Jar

I am such a sucker when it comes to buying concealer because I am willing to try any concealer to cover up my dark circles and any other blemishes that occasionally pop up. I have bought tons of concealer from drugstores to even high-end brands, and have had mixed results in the sense that some were okay and did the job, but none that really outlasted in terms of performance and giving me a fresh-awakened look to last all day—until now.

I tried the NYX Concealer in a Jar and let me tell you how amazing this miracle in a bottle is! First of all, the packaging. It is so cute! It's a tiny round jar, but don't let the size fool you! It has A LOT of concealer in side to last you a very long time, and what I love is how tiny it is to even keep in your purse for any touch ups. Second, it's very creamy and glides on easily. I use a concealer brush, scrape some of the concealer in the jar, and DAB it from the inner corner of my eye to the outer to cover up my dark circles, and then DAB with my finger or a wedge-sponge to blend together. You don't want to wipe the concealer from side to side because that just takes off some of the concealer and you will end up using more giving you a cakey look, and instead whatever you are trying to conceal is much more noticeable and prominent. You just want to use a little bit and dab it across, a little goes a long way with this concealer!

I have tried concealers that were TOO water-based and ended up sliding off under my eyes, making me look even more tired, worst of all, when you are trying to conceal a red pimple and it fades off so that everything shows! I even had concealers that were super thick that once I put my foundation over it, you can see that it settled in the lines and was very cakey. I also hated those concealers that claim to be waterproof and last all day, but wouldn't even make it to lunch time! But with this NYX Concealer jar that is NEVER a problem and what I truly enjoyed was that it lasted all day with me. I was also hunting for a concealer that gave me the same look as the moment I put it on, 'till the time I came home after a long day at work; and this definitely does it. Cat Eyes look with Sugar Flirt Eyes Lashes

The absolute hottest look for the fall season is the Cat Eye look. Taking it's cue from the stylish 40's, this look is about as glam as it gets. A lot of people are hesitant to try it out because they are unsure how to keep it from looking too " rocker girl". But the key is to keep the black liner simple and accent the eyes with a cool set of false lashes. Sugar Flirt False Lashes make a fun statement without weighing down the lids. The result is an eye popping modern twist on an old classic.

I have put together 6 easy steps to simplify things and make this
sizzling look work for anyone.

1) First apply concealer under eyes as needed.Use the same concealer on the eyelid to even out skin tone. Apply loose powder with a sponge to set the concealer.

2) Next, apply a bone or matte peach colored eye-shadow on entire top lid. Make sure it is smoothed out perfectly.

3) Apply a line of black liquid liner to top lid and slant it up just slightly at the outer corner. Be careful not to make the slant too long so you maintain this looks elegance.

4) Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and then apply jet black
mascara to top and bottom lashes. Comb out lashes to prevent clumping.

* Note: this is the step that takes this look to another level.

5) Apply Sugar Flirt False Lashes to the outer corners of lashes. Make sure you apply them far enough into the middle of the lashes so that they don't stick out past your natural lashes on the sides, making your eyes look droopy!

6) Then apply another coat of mascara and press the sugar lashes to your natural lashes so they blend in together.

I have a mixed review about this product because I really love the color (I chose Midnight Black), and the shimmer on your lids is just absolutely gorgeous! However I didn't like the base it came with. You are supposed to apply the base so that the glitter has something to adhere to, and it's a dark chocolate brown that serves as a background color for the glitter so that it comes out more vibrant and make your eyes pop; but I had a lot of trouble trying to get the glitter to stick to the base, and since the base is a dark brown and the glitter is a dark black, the two colors just clashed and it didn't look right together. I think if the base was black, it would have really made a huge difference.

So instead I applied black eyeliner on my lid like I normally do, and used a homemade mixing medium (basically just pure Glycerin and Water) so that the black glitter would have something to adhere to. I took a flat eyeliner brush, dipped it in a drop of the mixing medium and then took a little bit of the midnight black glitter and applied it gently across my lashline following the black line I just made with my black eyeliner; dabbing it as I go along from my inner corner of my lid to the outer.

The result: It was absolutely gorgeous! It's perfect for a night out giving you a nice hint of glitter without looking so overdone and is definitely easy to use. You can seriously go from a day look to a night look just by adding this to your lashline! It really made my eyes pop and stand out, giving a little glamour to any look.

It's easy to remove from your lids in the sense that it can be wiped off fairly easily, however my lid started to itch after awhile (but perhaps it's due to the fact that my skin is easily irritated) but I think mainly because it was really gritty in texture, almost like glass. The glitter powder was sort of rough and hard, especially for a delicate area such as the eye. I wish it was a lot softer in texture, perhaps similar to the texture of flour like the NYX Chrome Eyeshadows, and it would have been such a hit and a definite staple in my purse. Other than that, I really enjoyed the shimmer it gave my lids and how it wasn't intense glitter, but just enough to be noticed. It comes in a variety of other great colors, perfect for any occasion and every outfit!

They say good things come in small packages, and that stands true when it comes to the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Powdered Eyeshadow. I was really happy to have had a chance to test this out in “Nude” because it's amazing how gorgeous and vibrant it comes out on your lids. I have actually owned a couple colors before and this eyeshadow never ceases to amaze me! It reminded me of how much I love them because they really bring out eyes of ANY color, whether you have brown, blue, or green eyes; these colors will make your peepers pop. The color-payoff (pigmentation) is incredible because it's honestly similar to those of high-end brands, if not better, and the best part is that it lasts all day!

They come in a variety of sultry colors from soft neutrals to shimmery yet subtle shades that are just absolutely show stopping! I ended up buying a majority of all the other colors such as purple when I am feeling a bit funky and creative and charcoal to create an awesome smoky eye look. What I love about these loose powdered eye shadows is how it gives you just the right amount of shimmer without overdoing it. It's perfect to pull off these awesome eyeshadows for even an everyday look using some of the neutral colors such as nude or pearl, or you can play with different colored looks with some of the gorgeous colors they have. My trick is to also dab it on top of matte eye shadows to bring out the colors more and make it “pop” and give your eyes a nice soft look with a bit of shimmer.

The bottles are a bit tiny which makes it hard to get some of the color out, but I just used an empty pot that didn't have a sifter and transferred it in there and it made it a lot easier! I honestly use these eye shadows everyday now and have started growing my NYX collection because their quality is great and because their prices are so affordable, you can get so many different things for the price you would pay for ONE eyeshadow for some high-end brands; and NYX has so many beautiful colors that there is something for everyone in every skin tone and eye color. And NYX's single eye shadows go perfect with these loose powdered eyeshadows.

LA Colors Trio Eyeshdow

One of the things I liked about this trio eyeshadow is the compact casing that nestles the three eyeshadow colors, it's not bulky at all and I think it's perfect to keep in your purse or makeup bag for any touch-ups throughout the day. I ordered the L.A. Colors Lipgloss Palette a few weeks ago and just fell in love with it so I was really excited to give their eyeshadows a try. I got it in “Snow White/Lilac Mist/Royal Violet”

What I enjoyed about this eyeshadow trio is how each of the three colors sort of correlate together to achieve an awesome look, there's a light colored eyeshadow that you can use as a highlight, the medium shade for the inside corner of the lid, and a darker shade for the outer portion of your lid; all in one convenient case!

The only thing I did not like about the compact was the pigmentation and the durability of the eyeshadows; I had to make several swipes of each eyeshadow on my sponge applicator just to get a decent amount of color on my eyelid, as a couple of swipes were just too light as if I didn't 'grab' any color on my sponge-tip applicator. Also, without an eye priming base, the colors didn't last long and were gone by the end of the day, making me look a bit washed out. However, once you do have enough of each color on your lid, the colors are just gorgeous and make your peepers just “pop”. I think if they also made it into a flip-top duo compact with the eyeshadow colors on top and a mirror and a sponge tip applicator at the bottom, it would really be ideal for gals on-the-go; rather than having to fetch for a mirror and a makeup brush or sponge tip applicator, just to be more “space-saving”.

Melting Eyeshadow

Do you have problems with Eyeshadow and Eyeliner that just won't stay put? No matter how many coats of shadow you put on, after a few hours of partying, the colors are just not there anymore.

The reason: your eye lids produce oil, which absorbs the shadow color.

The Solution:
Use an eye base before you apply eyeliner or eyeshadow. Eye base creates a dry surface on your eyelid, which gives something for the shadow powder to crab onto.

For me, presentation is everything; Jelly Pong Pong's Gourmet Lip Therapy came in the cutest pop-up box, reminding me of the cute pop-up books I read as a child. I love how small and compact this lip gloss is because I can fit it in my purse or carry it with me in my pocket for easy access!
I have always wanted a lip gloss that did three things: give me incredible long-lasting shine, keeps my lips really soft, and stays on but isn't too sticky. Lo and behold I found Jelly Pong Pong's Gourmet Lip Therapy in Real Sugar, it's honestly the lip gloss I have been searching for. I have tried countless lip glosses and they either have an awful taste (or scent), aren't moisturizing enough, are super sticky to where you find your hair sticking to your lips, and/or they don't stay on your lips for a long time. But for me, this lip gloss has the whole package! It has tiny miniscule “sugars”, that feel like the tiny micro-beads in a facial scrub and totally feels like a scrub for your lips, gently exfoliating any dead skin and keeping your lips lusciously soft and kissable all day. I love how it gave me long-lasting subtle shine without the stickiness and has a nice sweet sugary flavor that will have you constantly smacking your lips! My favorite part of this product was the built-in brush, no mess lip gloss oozing out of the tube, no wands- nothing. Just a one step, easy to apply lip gloss. The brush gives you so much control when applying the lip gloss allowing you to display incredible shine right where you want it.

I must admit at first I thought the price was pretty steep, $18 for just a sheer lip gloss, but now that I have had the opportunity to see and use this product for myself, love it! It's really everything I need in one tube and my lips are super happy because it really stays on and is perfect for layering over lipstick for instant shine. I even ate dinner and it was still on my lips after dinner as if I just put it on! I highly recommend this product to every gal as it is a a definite “must have” item in every girl's purse. Applying false eyelashes requires a little patience and practice. It is an art that every makeup lover should master. False eyelashes can make your eyes look fuller and larger. Picking the right false eyelashes is the first lesson you need to learn. There are numerous types of false eyelashes in the market full and flare to simple to ultra dramatic. Pick one that fit the occasion.

Second you must know that you don't have to use the entire false eyelashes in the package. Shorten it if you need to. Customize it to the length that fits your eye is important.
Third, give yourself enough time. Don't try it five minutes before leaving to a big party. Sounds easy but somehow we always forget.
Forth, prep your lids. Lashes stick better to clean lids so wash your eye area with oil free makeup remover.

You must have these tools ready before applying false eyelashes.
Tweezer, False Eyelahes (of course), Adhesive (DUO Lash Adhesive is my favorite) and Fine Tipped Eyeliner Brush.

Now you are ready to apply the false eyelashes.

Using a Tweezer and remove the false eyelashes from the packaging.

Trim the band to fit the width of your eye.

Dip a skinny eyeliner brush in lash glue and lightly paint the back of the strip. The glue dries in about three minutes so speed it up or lash won't stick.

Starting at the outer corner of your eye, apply the last close to your lash line and press down across your eye to the inner corner.

Let the glue dry, and then apply dark eyeliner to camouflage the line of the fake lashes and then apply your mascara. The mascara will help blend your own lashes with the fake ones.

How to get a fresh look

Creating a perfect fresh face is not as hard as you think! Sitting in front of the mirror on a lazy day practicing different looks with your makeup can prove surprising results. Playing with your make- up will allow you to become familiar with your face and the colors that best suit your complexion and hair color.

Consider these steps for a natural fresh look; once you get this down you will be able to experiment more. Start with your foundation; you want something light that won't clog you your pores. Use a sponge so that you achieve an even look. Once you have a clean palate to work with. If your skin tends to be oily you can brush on a light dusting of loose powder after applying the foundation.

For your eyes, just mascara. You should wipe your brush on a paper towel to get all the excess off, that way you will have a nice stain on you lashes. No spider lashes! For cheeks, sweep a little blush (a nice peach or pink) on the apples of your cheeks sweeping down towards you jaw line. A little on your jaw line and on your temples make sure you don't use to much, start with a little you can always add. So here are some tips you can follow:

Pair up complementary colors such as purple eyeshadow and pink eyeshadow, yellow eyeshadow and green eyeshadow, blue eyeshadow and yellow eyeshadow.

1 st apply the foundation: Foundation can even out the skin color on your face and give it a health look. To pick a right foundation for your face can be tricky. Therefore when picking out the foundation, you need to consider the following:

• Determine which skin color tone you have. Select a few colors that seem close to your natural skin tone. Go for the yellow-based foundations, which look most natural on all skin tones. However, if you're very fair, try a pink, cooler shade.

• Apply a couple dots of each color on areas of your jawline (the inner wrist or hand aren't the best spots, contrary to popular belief).

First is Skin Care, it is the single most important thing teens should do every day. Wash your face day and night with face washer. Take off your makeup with makeup remover properly each night before you go to sleep. Especially for those of you who put tons of eye liner and mascara, leaving the products over night is so bad for your skin. Use oil base eye makeup remover will do the trick. There are many teen cosmetics products out there for teens but you don't really have to spend tons of money on teen cosmetics. If you have dry skin you need to use face cream. Usually one cream will do, you don't need to have separate eye or face cream.

Lastly, use a bit of yellow tone powder on top of the concealer will set it and keep it on all day.

Foundations: Teen makeup does not need foundation all over your skin. However a good foundation is used only to cover blemishes. To choose the correct foundation for your face, test it on your cheek bone. If you cannot test the product just make sure you look for yellow toned foundation. It is the most natural tone that works with everyone's skin.

Colors: Sheer color on eyes, cheeks, and lips is the simple way to go. Sheer colors work with every skin ton as do shimmery tones that are pale, like silver or white. Rosy tones also work with most skin tones. Eyeliner is great for parties but for everyday school look is a bit too much. Remember teen makeup is to emphasis your best features not to change to look completely. Adding a little blush on your cheek bone can make you look fresh and glowing. However if you are doing sports blushes normally won't stay on with sweat.
